This newborn session reminded me how quickly life can change. Several years ago, Jax’s mom and I worked together; when she was single, and a new teacher just starting her career. She now is a happily married lady, with a permanent teaching position and a perfect baby boy! I was so happy when she asked me to take photos for her. I had a great time catching up with her, meeting her hubby, and snuggling her little man.

Bird’s Hill Park is one of my favourite locations for family photos. There is so much variety and it is beautiful in every season. I had a wonderful time with this family and enjoyed exploring the paths and forest with them.

What a lovely family 🙂  We actually had to reschedule, due to some nasty Winnipeg weather, and luckily we did… because the weather was PERFECT for their session!

I usually photograph newborns 14 days old and younger, but this big guy was 6 weeks old at his session! He was pretty aware and awake for most of his session, which was expected for his age, but we still managed to capture a few sleepy shots. And, there is something equally special about those open-eyed shots 🙂

This family session was extra special because it featured my brother, sister-in-law, and beautiful niece. It makes me so happy to watch this family grow – from maternity, to newborn, and now. I am so fortunate to be able to document these memories.

I had so much fun with this family! Lisa and I used to work together and it was so nice to catch up with her, and meet her little boy.

Xavier was a sweetheart! He loved playing with my rustic red wagon, which made for some really cute photos. The easy going, laid back nature of this session made it truly enjoyable 🙂

Baby mini-sessions are the perfect way to capture your little sweetheart! They are short and sweet, but allow enough time for outfit changes, a few photo set-ups, and, are a good time frame for busy babies. This little guy was 10 months old and was content and happy throughout his session 🙂

Fall is such a beautiful time for family photos, and to celebrate turning one! It’s hard to believe a year has gone by since I took newborn photos of baby Autumn. It’s always nice to catch up with families, and document their lives 🙂
