When to book your Newborn Session?
The sooner the better – my calendar fills up quickly! I recommend contacting me anytime after your 20 week scan to reserve your Newborn Session.
Where your session is held?
Your Newborn Session will be held in my home studio, located in Oakbank (about 15 mins. east of Winnipeg). Safety, cleanliness and comfort are always my top priorities. My studio is set-up not only for baby, but parents as well. Enjoy a coffee, sit back, and allow me to capture your baby while you relax.
What do I need to bring?
All you need to bring are the baby essentials. Food for baby, diapers, wipes, and a blanket for baby is all you need. I provide all of the props, accessories and outfits for baby. My vast collection can coordinate with a colour palette of your choosing.
What do I wear?
If you have opted to include family photos in your Newborn Session, these photos are done first, when you arrive. Please keep these tips in mind:
- Solid colours photograph best (patterns, large logos, stripes and plaid can be distracting)
- Wear something that fits you well and you feel comfortable wearing
- Choose 2-3 colours with similar tones that go nicely together and have everyone work within that colour palette
Hair & Makeup
It is best to wear your hair and make-up as you normally would. Getting out of the house and getting yourself together is hard with a newborn! If you have your nails done, check to make sure they look ok, chipped polish should be removed. Close-ups of you holding your baby will often show your hands.
Photo Delivery
2 weeks after your session, I will email you your online viewing gallery, along with a Dropbox link to download your beautifully edited photos. They will be high-resolution, and ready to print.
