Heirloom – Oakbank Baby Photography

Today I took photos of Chloe wearing the Christening gown my mom wore in 1955! I am thankful that my grandma kept this gown, and a pair of my mom’s baby shoes. My grandma also kept a photograph of my mom wearing the Christening dress – and although it is a little blurry – it still tells a story. It is amazing theseĀ items have been passed through generations of my family; and now I get to share them with my daughter.

I look forward to showing Chloe the photos I took of her today (wearing the items her grandma wore over 60 years ago), when she is old enough to understand how special it was. I love how photos capture our memories and help us remember the past.
