The sunrise, of course, doesn’t care if we watch it or not. It will keep on being beautiful, even if no one bothers to look at it.

Today was my first time taking advantage of the golden hour at sunrise. These images were taken in a field close to my home in Oakbank, Manitoba. Despite the -40°C weather with the windchill (and after getting several booters), the window of time to capture these images was short-lived and I moved surprisingly quickly 🙂
Mastering the golden hour, and learning how to take full advantage of this light, is a goal of mine. I hope to use this soft beautiful light for family photo sessions – when the weather warms up!
