Baby Lincoln came to see me for his Sitter Session. He was a little under the weather, but we managed to capture all of the photos mom hoped for.

Mom wanted to recreate photos that were similar to his big sister’s baby photos from a few years earlier. She requested that he wear the very sweet Lion Bonnet from Whippoorwill Nest Props that I have for boys to wear for Sitter Sessions.

Beautiful Emerson surely had a CAKE SMASH! She had a blast eating and destroying her delicious cake from Town Bake Shop & Ice Cream.

Mom requested a boho theme for the session and we were all super happy with the way the photos turned out.

Haneet’s Cake Smash Session was BUSY! This sweet girl had so much energy and was up, down and all around.

This is why my sessions are 1/2 hour to an hour at most because a baby’s attention span is very limited.

Haneet’s family wanted a pink, gold and white colour palette. Mom brought the pretty dress in the first few photos. I provided the cake smashing tutu and delicious cake from Town Bakeshop & Ice Cream . Every element is planned, so they tie together beautifully.

I LOVE Maternity Sessions, especially when they are done with my family! This session features my brother, sister-in-law, adorable niece and a sweet baby bump.

We chose St. Mary’s Nursery as the location for the shoot, and I really love how it came together. It was raining outside, so this indoor with elements of outdoor location was the perfect choice.

All of the gowns worn by mama-to-be are available for client use… She wears a small/medium but I have dresses in all sizes!

Newborn Naade had the most perfect skin, curls, and demeanor. Mom requested deep colour tones which made this session’s colour palette so lovely.

Naade’s sweet older sister was the perfect little mommy, providing so much love and care. Check out the photo where she is nuzzling him so sweetly… it is one of my favourites from the session.

Newborn Edison was such a pleasure to photograph. He was very content and comfortable throughout his session and even flashed me a few smiles and smirks 🙂

My number one goal at every newborn session is that baby cozy and comfy. I will only attempt poses that baby allows, and most importantly poses that are safe.

You will see in the photos below a really sweet photo of Edison on a moon prop. This photo is a composite, meaning 2 or more photos were combined to create it.

Cameron came to see me a few months earlier for his Sitter Session, and I was so pleased to see him (and his family) again to celebrate his First Birthday with a Cake Smash Session.

Wyatt was a dream to photograph at his Newborn Session, and his family were wonderful company 🙂

I was excited to use some of my animal outfits and accessories when Wyatt’s mom mentioned his nursery was animal themed.

I’ve been saving an adorable brown bear outfit from Inez Collection Photo Props for the perfect opportunity; and Wyatt was the perfect model for it. Although, he was such a long baby that he barely fit lol!

If you have a themed nursery, or know where you plan to display your photos, let me know and I will style your Newborn Session accordingly.

I love the colour palette we used for Myla’s Newborn Session. Initially Myla’s mom chose purple for her session, but when she came to my studio and saw all of my newborn outfits – she fell in love with a beautiful burnt orange outfit from Props By Jeana. And, I had the perfect floral wrap to tie the purple and orange together 🙂

Often 2-3 colours and 1 neutral colour are used to plan each session. I also suggest that parents wear solid colours, because clothing with patterns and/or large logos can be very distracting and will take the attention away from baby.

I love experimenting with new colour palettes, and as an artist, it makes my heart happy 🙂
