Axel: Studio Newborn Session – Winnipeg Baby Photography

This baby boy was adorable! He was so content and sleepy for his session, and curled into his poses with ease.

The safety of your baby is my number one priority. I will not attempt poses that are unsafe or uncomfortable for your baby. I also monitor how warm baby gets, and use breathable fabrics and wraps – my favourites are from https://www.clothapothecary.com/

I’d love to be your newborn photographer! Contact me today for details 🙂

Nathaniel: Newborn Session – Winnipeg Baby Photography

This newborn session features my nephew! Mom’s due date was a few days before Christmas and I was wondering if he’d hold out and arrive on the 25th… but instead decided to arrive a few days early 😉

Mom brought a few sentimental outfits for baby to wear: an rcmp outfit (dad is an officer) and a Winnie The Pooh outfit. Both of these outfits were worn by big brother Jakob at his newborn session. The adorable distressed blue romper  from my Newborn Studio Collection is by https://www.facebook.com/Propsbyjeana/

Nathaniel still had his umbilical cord clip attached, so I was extra cautious not to make him uncomfortable. I had to abandon a few poses but managed to capture some great memories.

Comfort and safety of your precious baby is always my #1 priority. Contact me today if you’d like more information about my newborn packages.

Jax: Newborn Session – Winnipeg Baby Photography

This newborn session reminded me how quickly life can change. Several years ago, Jax’s mom and I worked together; when she was single, and a new teacher just starting her career. She now is a happily married lady, with a permanent teaching position and a perfect baby boy! I was so happy when she asked me to take photos for her. I had a great time catching up with her, meeting her hubby, and snuggling her little man.

These are a few of my favourite images from Jax’s session. Mom chose a blue, yellow and grey colour palette.

When you book a newborn session, you choose a colour palette of your liking. Contact me today!

Colton: Newborn Session – Winnipeg Baby Photography

Colton’s newborn session was wonderful. He slept soundly, and was happy and content.

I took maternity photos of this little guys mama a few weeks before his arrival and it is so fun to see the progression from bump to baby!

Mom wanted earth tones for Colton’s session colours, and she also brought several props she for me to incorporate, including zebras to match his nursery decor.

I do have plenty of props and accessories on hand, but if there is something meaningful you’d like to include in your baby’s newborn session, I’d be happy to include images with those items for you.

If you’re expecting, contact me today to book your maternity and newborn sessions 🙂

Genes – Winnipeg Baby Photography

A daughter is one of the most beautiful gifts this world has to give.

Laurel Atheron

I am so grateful to be mommy to two beautiful, healthy children. They are each their own little person with different features and personalities. It is amazing to watch them learn and grow every day and it is neat to see little glimpses of my husband and I within them.

The most common question I am asked is if my husband has red hair – because both of my children have red hair, and my hair is blond. Much to everyone’s surprise, the answer is, “no, his hair is light brown… But I was born with red hair, and my grandmother and his great-grandmother were redheads.”

It is always fun to see which features resemble whom and everyone has an opinion lol. Today I decided to dress my daughter up in one of my own baby outfits (that my parents have kept as a keepsake for the last 35 years). I was able to find a photo of me wearing the outfit – which was perfect to use for comparison. I can see a few similarities, but personally think she has more of my husband’s features.

My photo is on the left. What do you think?

If your family has held onto something you, or your spouse, wore as a baby, I’d love to photograph your baby wearing it a your own baby’s session 🙂
