I’m so happy baby Sophia was able to have her Cake Smash Session before closing my studio, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sophia’s mom showed me some inspirational photos that included shades of purple, flowers and greenery on a white background. I pulled together items from my prop collection, and came up with a very pretty set-up.

As mentioned, my studio is currently closed, and all sessions are postponed until it is safe to re-open. The great thing about Cake Smash Sessions, is your baby will be one for a whole year, and, the celebration of turning one can be at any time 🙂

Newborns are still being born amongst all this chaos in the world right now. And as much as I would love to continue with my photo sessions, they have been postponed for the safety of everyone.

I wanted to give these first time mommies (and daddies) something to tide them over until we can have our “real” sessions… whenever that may be. So, I asked them (with some guidance) to take some simple photos of their newborns at home. And, with some editing magic, I was able to create some special images for them – images they helped create 🙂

I was so excited to see Andres for his Cake Smash Session. The last time I saw him he was a newborn!

Andres’ parents chose a Sulley theme from the Monsters Inc. movie. I love the colour combination. And, Town Bakeshop & Ice Cream made another perfect cake.

Babies change an astounding amount during their first year of life, and I am so happy to capture the milestones along the way 🙂

Baby Bhavnaira was a delight to photograph at her Simple & Sweet Session. She had the most amazing head of hair, and the longest eyelashes I’ve ever seen.

At 7 weeks old, she was past the newborn stage, which is why I offer this type of session. It is never too late 🙂

Thaleia’s mom requested a Mexican Fiesta theme for her daughter’s Cake Smash Session. I was so excited to plan all the details for this fun photoshoot. I love how colourful and happy it is.

Lots of laughter and smiles were had throughout the session. Thaleia was a little timid at first, but as you will see, she dove right in once she was comfortable… literally.

Angelica’s mom requested a Minnie Mouse themed Cake Smash for her baby girl. She also brought a cute outfit for her to wear, which matched the set-up and cake perfectly.

Big brother D’Angelo came to see me for his Cake Smash Session in 2018, and had a Mickey Mouse theme. I think it’s great that mom has coordinating photos of both her babies.
