Chloe came to see me for a First Birthday Session. Her mom wasn’t fond of the Cake Smash idea, so we altered her session accordingly. We opted to have it structured as a Sitter Session, with a few photos with big sister Scarlet 🙂
Sitter sessions usually last between 1/2 hr and 1 hr. This gives enough time for a few set-ups and, with quick transitions, baby remains happy and interested.

It was so nice seeing baby Hazel for a Sitter Session. I photographed Hazel a newborn, and it was so nice to see how much she’d grown and changed since then.

This sweet baby boy was born a few weeks premature, so he was technically newborn size and weight at his session. So, I was able to do some adorable newborn-like set-ups with him.

I LOVE sitter sessions! Cameron was such a sweet little (or should I say BIG) guy 🙂 Mom chose the colour green as the main colour for his session, and it was a great colour choice for him.
He was happy and content for the entire session and I ended up giving mom a few extra photos because there were too many adorable ones. Check out the photo with the Frog “Kiss Me” bonnet by Whippoorwill Nest ; it actually looks like he’s making kissy lips lol.

Celine’s mom, Marina, had some sentimental outfits she wanted incorporated in her Newborn Session. One of these outfits was an adorable bunny costume; crocheted by Marina’s mom 🙂
I am always willing to include a personal item/outfit or two in a session. Because I plan sessions in advance, it is nice to know what you plan to bring so I can work with it. I do have a gorgeous collection of outfits, props and accessories to style every session with, and this makes every session unique.

I now offer Cake Smash Mini Sessions 🙂 But, there is a catch – they can only be booked through Nest Family Centre & Store. Nest is a wonderful place to learn, shop and network. They offer an array of wonderful classes, activities and events for young families.
My love for Nest began with my Baby Rush Class (back in 2012). Hillery’s class helped prepare my husband and I for the labour and birth of our first born, and we are forever grateful for that. So, when the opportunity came about for me to work with the Nest team I was both honoured and excited.

Banni arrived for her Newborn Session with the most AMAZING head of hair! Her mom chose a beautiful colour palette with deep, jewel tones.
At a month old, Banni was older than most newborn I photograph, which meant that she was much more alert and aware of her surroundings. She loved looking at my lights lol, and luckily my lens – which made for some awesome eye contact 🙂
If your newborn is past the “ideal” time frame of 2 weeks and younger, don’t hesitate to contact me… anything is possible!
Meet newborn Emmie! This poor girl had a very hard time settling for her session, and preferred to sleep in someone’s arms…. including mine 🙂
I always go at baby’s pace, and do what is necessary to help baby be comfortable. Not all babies will do every pose, and I always practice safety first.

Sweet newborn Katina is truly a miracle baby; Her parents waited over 10 years for her!
I met Katina’s mom at the Belly & Baby Fair a few months ago, and after hearing her story, I was so honoured that she asked me to capture these amazing memories for her and her family.
My husband and I also had trouble conceiving, and like Katina’s parents, we had some help from The Heartland Fertility & Gynecology Clinic here in Manitoba. We are so fortunate that with medical assistance today, couples who are struggling to become pregnant, have options.
