I now offer Cake Smash Mini Sessions 🙂 But, there is a catch – they can only be booked through Nest Family Centre & Store.  Nest is a wonderful place to learn, shop and network. They offer an array of wonderful classes, activities and events for young families.

My love for Nest began with my Baby Rush Class (back in 2012). Hillery’s class  helped prepare my husband and I for the labour and birth of our first born, and we are forever grateful for that. So, when the opportunity came about for me to work with the Nest team I was both honoured and excited.

Nathan’s Cake Smash Session theme was Baby Shark… and if you have a little one, I’m sure that song is already stuck in your head on a daily basis lol.

This little guy is my nephew, and he is allergic to dairy products. I work with a wonderful baker at Town Bakeshop & Ice Cream here in Oakbank; she made his cake dairy free, and he was able to eat and smash to his little heart’s content!

I always keep allergies in mind,  and am willing to create a themed First Birthday Session for your little one.

A Cake Smash / First Birthday Session is such a fun way to celebrate! I photographed Gurroop as a newborn and it was hard to believe she was turning a year already.

I love seeing repeat clients, not only to see how they’ve grown and changed, but to chat and catch up with families 🙂

Sweet newborn Katina is truly a miracle baby; Her parents waited over 10 years for her!

I met Katina’s mom at the Belly & Baby Fair a few months ago, and after hearing her story, I was so honoured that she asked me to capture these amazing memories for her and her family.

My husband and I also had trouble conceiving, and like Katina’s parents, we had some help from The Heartland Fertility & Gynecology Clinic here in Manitoba. We are so fortunate that with medical assistance today, couples who are struggling to become pregnant, have options.

Baby’s First Birthday is such an amazing milestone! It’s always fun to see how babies react when a cake place in front of them… some gently poke at it, while others dive right in. Little Leo was a little timid at first, but after a taste of the sugary icing, he was happy!

Leo’s mom was planning a lion themed party, so I planned his session with that in mind. The adorable cake was made by Town Bake Shop & Ice-Cream.

Ekam was such an alert baby! At a day shy of a month old, he was not interested in posing for many photos, nor sleeping. With lots of patience and determination from everyone at his session – we managed to capture some adorable photos 🙂

This may have been the strongest newborn I’ve met yet!  He was able to wriggle out of poses, bust out of my swaddles and almost climbed out of props lol.Most of all, he wanted to be nursing and snuggling mom… can’t blame him 🙂

I went at his pace and let him decide what he was comfortable with, and managed to get some awesome images! Check out all of his gallery images here .

Every baby is different, and not all babies will pose the same and be comfortable in every position. I always let them decide and watch for their cues to change things up – their comfort and safety is my number one priority.

This big baby boy is even sweeter in person! Woodrow’s parents are dear friends of mine, so this session was extra special 🙂

I took photos of baby Woodrow as a newborn, and now at 4 months old, he was still super chill, and still way off the percentile charts… weighing in at 20+ lbs!

Sweet & Simple Sessions are the perfect way to capture your baby during this phase of tummy time, finding their toes and smiles.

Sweet & petite (at just under 6 lbs.) Hazel was so content for her newborn session, and barely made a peep.

Hazel’s maternal Grandparents and Auntie came all the way from Hong Kong to meet her. And, when I was asked if they could be part of the family photos, of course I said yes! What a special memory 🙂
