Don’t hesitate to capture this last baby milestone! I was so happy Harlyn’s mom (and helpful Auntie) came to celebrate with a First Birthday Session.

Harlyn wasn’t so sure about the whole cake smashing idea, but after a taste of her delicious cake from http://townbakeshop.com/, she was hooked!

Just as with my newborn sessions, I go at your child’s pace. Letting them become familiar with me and their surroundings may take a little extra time, but it’s worth it for everyone in the end.

Kimberly decided to have her Family Maternity session held at her home. Not only was her property amazing… she looked amazing at 39 weeks pregnant!

Ideally, maternity sessions are held when mommy-to-be is between 34-36 weeks pregnant. At this time, your baby bump looks extra cute, you are not completely uncomfortable yet, and baby should be staying put for a few more weeks.

Luckily, Kimberly said she still felt comfortable, her bump was adorable, and baby was still happy and content in her womb for the session 🙂

This newborn session was super special for me… my friends are Woodrow’s parents 🙂 I was looking forward to meeting this baby from the moment my girlfriend told me they were expecting. I am so grateful to have been able to travel to their home in Toronto to capture this amazing (and busy) time in their lives. Although my visit was short, I enjoyed every moment!
