Baby Cole is a rainbow baby 🙂 His parents requested incorporating the rainbow element into the photos, and I think they turned out great!

Elijah’s mom booked his newborn session without knowing he’d be him! His parents decided to wait until the birth to see if they were having a boy or a girl. I love this element of surprise 🙂
Mom requested a navy, burgundy and beige colour palette and had asked if I had anything hockey related props (which I didn’t)… but little did she know that I had a trick up my sleeve! Take a look at his photos to see what I came up with using a digital backdrop.

I was so pleased to photograph baby Zion. Mom had planned to see me for his Newborn photos, but with some unexpected post-birth complications, we had to wait.
Baby Zion was 6 weeks old for his session. A little too old for those curly newborn poses, but the perfect age for great eye-contact and some cute swaddled options.

Zayden’s mom asked for teal, chevron and grey for his Cake Smash theme. And, with Zayden’s allergy to dairy, she also requested a Dairy-Free cake.

Baby Lincoln came to see me for his Sitter Session. He was a little under the weather, but we managed to capture all of the photos mom hoped for.
Mom wanted to recreate photos that were similar to his big sister’s baby photos from a few years earlier. She requested that he wear the very sweet Lion Bonnet from Whippoorwill Nest Props that I have for boys to wear for Sitter Sessions.

Cameron came to see me a few months earlier for his Sitter Session, and I was so pleased to see him (and his family) again to celebrate his First Birthday with a Cake Smash Session.

I love the simplicity of the set-up used here – the focus is kept on the baby 🙂 Hudson’s mom asked for greys and blues as the colour palette, and I had the perfect outfit to compliment her request.

Newborn Madden, is the sweet babe of Hillery – the owner and mastermind behind the wonderful Nest Family Centre & Store.
Madden is one lucky baby boy to have such a wonderful family; including 2 older siblings who are so in love with him already.
Family photos are always included in my Newborn Sessions. It’s a good idea to plan outfits in advance to help tie all your colours together. And, as you will see below, Hillery did an amazing job with this – with Jax & Lennon clothing from her store.

Newborn Andres was so alert and curious during his session. Each time we lulled him to sleep, he was wide awake within a few minutes (which did allow for some great awake shots). After lots of patience, and hours of trying everything to get him nice and sleepy, I decided to invite Andres and his family back for another try (a few days later). At his second visit, although he was still super alert and curious, but we managed to capture a few additional sleepy shots.
We learned that Andres was not a fan of the sound machine, and needed something that smelled like mom close by. The power of mom’s scent can work wonders. Read more about this here.
It is always my number one priority that your baby is comfortable, happy and content – which was the case for Andres, he just wasn’t interested in sleeping away from mom 🙂
