This may have been the strongest newborn I’ve met yet!  He was able to wriggle out of poses, bust out of my swaddles and almost climbed out of props lol.Most of all, he wanted to be nursing and snuggling mom… can’t blame him 🙂

I went at his pace and let him decide what he was comfortable with, and managed to get some awesome images! Check out all of his gallery images here .

Every baby is different, and not all babies will pose the same and be comfortable in every position. I always let them decide and watch for their cues to change things up – their comfort and safety is my number one priority.

This big baby boy is even sweeter in person! Woodrow’s parents are dear friends of mine, so this session was extra special 🙂

I took photos of baby Woodrow as a newborn, and now at 4 months old, he was still super chill, and still way off the percentile charts… weighing in at 20+ lbs!

This little guy was a month old, which is older than most of the newborns I photograph. I typically recommend photographing newborns before they are two weeks old. But despite his age, we managed to get a beautiful gallery of images!

Sam’s big, 2 year old brother Theo, also came to be photographed. After some time playing in my toy area with his dad, he was ready to have his photo taken… and did an excellent job!

Don’t hesitate to contact me if your baby is past the “ideal” newborn age bracket. We will make it work!

This baby boy is my nephew. His mom and I worked very hard to make him smile, but he was more interested in playing with Sophie the Giraffe lol!

As you’ll see in the last image, Nathan let us know when he was done. I always work at your child’s pace and comfort level, and allow time for breaks and play.

This newborn session was super special for me… my friends are Woodrow’s parents 🙂 I was looking forward to meeting this baby from the moment my girlfriend told me they were expecting. I am so grateful to have been able to travel to their home in Toronto to capture this amazing (and busy) time in their lives. Although my visit was short, I enjoyed every moment!

This newborn session features my nephew! Mom’s due date was a few days before Christmas and I was wondering if he’d hold out and arrive on the 25th… but instead decided to arrive a few days early 😉

Mom brought a few sentimental outfits for baby to wear: an rcmp outfit (dad is an officer) and a Winnie The Pooh outfit. Both of these outfits were worn by big brother Jakob at his newborn session. Nathaniel still had his umbilical cord clip attached, so I was extra cautious not to make him uncomfortable. I had to abandon a few poses but managed to capture some great memories.
